| Note from Janet Wikler:
This is the last poem that Elinor Schloss Wikler ever wrote.
"Lagoon" is the name she gave to the electric typewriter that I bought her
shortly before she died. She named it "Lagoon" because of its pale
blue color. I have shown the poem exactly as she typed it; her
typing had a quality that was as characteristic of her as handwriting is
for many people. "Frog" and "Froglet" are nicknames we had for one another; "Dangel" is a nickname she had for me. |
